How to Install Level Data Core Plugin 5.X for PowerSchool 22.7+

August 1, 2022 at 3:25 PM

With the release of PowerSchool 22.7 (released on 7/28/2022), it is required that our State Data Validation Suite and RealTime Reports customers update their Level Data Core plugin to a minimum version of 5.1.0.

Introduced in the 22.7 version of PowerSchool are a new set of restrictions that prevent any existing versions of the Level Data Core plugin from functioning. Any customers whose PowerSchool server is updated to 22.7 will experience a disruption of Level Data State Validation and RealTime Reports services until the Level Data Core plugin version is updated.

Please note that the Level Data Core plugin 5.1.0 is only compatible with PowerSchool versions 21.11 and later. Earlier versions of PowerSchool will reject the new Level Data Core plugin 5.1.0.

How to Install/Update to 5.x

Requirements - We require that Custom Page Management (CPM) is enabled and that the PowerSchool supported “Plugin Management Configuration” page is used to install, delete, enable, and disable plugins. This means that we do not support custom web root installations of our plugins.

The Plugin Management Dashboard can be found by navigating to:

  • Start Page > System > System Settings > Plugin Management Configuration

If you run into any issues along the way or have additional questions, submit a ticket to helpdesk@leveldata.com.
